This is the current list of the Netflix Top 100 Movies. This list (in bold) was taken from their website.
Crash: I have actually never seen this movie. If Netflix ranks it number one, I should probably check it out.
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button: I liked the movie, but number two?
The Bucket List: Entertaining movie but not my cup of tea. Feel like this movie is more for older generations or people who need some inspiration to go after their dreams in life.
The Departed: This movie is gnarly, everyone ends up dead pretty much. If you like mob type movies, check this out.
Iron Man: Definitely one of my favorites. Robert Downey Jr. is the man, well he is the man #2 right behind Denzel Washington.
No Country for Old Men: How can you not like this movie? Great plot and the fact that there is no soundtrack in the movie blows me away. The only music you will ever hear in this movie is the music that is in the actual scene itself.
The Pursuit of Happyness: Definitely one of Will Smith's better movies. Great story that inspires anyone who watches it. Although, I am still not sure why they spell it HAPPYNESS
The Proposal: Chick flick, 'nuf said.
Gran Torino: Wo knew Mr. Eastwood is still such a stud at such an old age. Gives me inspiration for when I get older.
Casino Royale: My favorite Bond movie of them all. Still makes me sad thinking about the beautiful cars they ruin in stunts to make these Bond movies.
Blood Diamond: To be honest, I did not like this movie at all. Plus, it was WAY too long.
The Notebook: Another chick flick, although I did get a little emotional watching this movie. But I did NOT cry!
Little Miss Sunshine: One of the weirder movies I have seen but definitely enjoyable. I have never wanted a VW Bus more than when I saw this movie.
Slumdog Millionaire: Top 3 movie of all time for me. Really really surprised, and somewhat disappointed, that Netflix didn't rank this higher. If you have not seen this movie, you need to like right now.
The Blind Side: I am pretty sure that everyone has seen this movie and I am also pretty sure that everyone loved this movie.
Inside Man: My boy Denzel Washington!!! How could Spike Lee and Denzel get together and NOT make a good movie. To be honest, I would place A Man on Fire higher than Inside Man.
3:10 to Yuma: I have seen this movie twice and fallen asleep both time.
The Dark Knight: Another one of my top 3 movies all time. This is actually the only Batman movie that I hace truly enjoyed. RIP Heath Ledger
Twilight: Hahahahahaha....
Babel: Have heard great things about Babel, but have never watched it. I would like to though.
Changeling: Another movie I have never seen, and actually have never even heard of.
The Devil Wears Prada: I am not going to lie, I really liked this movie. I do love me some Anne Hathaway!
The Holiday: Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet are in no way shabby, but I was not a big fan of this movie. I think girls enjoy this one a lot more than guys do.
Charlie Wilson's War: If I was more into history I would have enjoyed this movie a lot more.
Michael Clayton
The Hurt Locker: Honestly, I know very little about what goes on in a war zone. So any time I am able to get an in depth look (in a way) at what goes on in war I am always intrigued. Definitely enjoyed this movie.
Hotel Rwanda: Despite being such a sad and depressing movie, I absolutely loved this movie. Who would have ever imagined that a hotel manager could make such a huge impact on history. This movie should give hope and inspiration to everyone out there.
Seven Pounds: Sad story but ends with a great result. DON'T TEXT AND DRIVE!!!!
Get Smart: Steve Carrel is funny, end of story. I think there should be more of his movies on this list (40 Year Old Virgin, anyone?).
Walk the Line: I actually just bought this movie the other day. I NEVER buy movies so this should be proof enough of how much I liked this movie.
The Da Vinci Code: Never seen it and have little to no desire to watch it.
Mr. and Mrs. Smith: An entertaining movie but would never make an effort to watch it again.
Gone Baby Gone: The Afleck brothers and Morgan Freeman make a pretty good team.
Déjà Vu: My boy Denzel Washington again!!! This movie was a little hard to follow the first time, so I watched it again right after and loved it.
Juno: Surprisingly enough, I have never seen it. My friend Tim said it was "pretty good."
Shooter: Marky Mark and a government conspiracy. Marky Mark wins, 'nuff said.
Star Trek: To put it nicely, my opinion of Sci-Fi is that it doesn't get my gears grinding, at all.
Valkyrie WWII an the Hitler era is another topic that I wish I knew more about, so I was very intrigued by this movie. Before this movie was announced, I had never heard anything about this particular assassination attempt.
The Illusionist: The Prestige is a much better magician movie.
Burn After Reading: Have no idea what the point of this movie was, but it was still super entertaining. Brad Pitt is hilarious in this movie.
P.S. I Love You: I love you too?
Knocked Up: Another one of those SUPERBAD type movies. Extremely funny, but no point to the story.
Indiana Jones/Kingdom of the Crystal Skull: Would much rather ride the Indiana Jones ride at Disneyland instead of watch this movie.
Body of Lies/House of Lies: isn't House of Lies a tv show?
American Gangster: DENZEL WASHINGGGGGGTON! I think this should be in the top 25, and where the heck is Man on Fire?
Into the Wild
Up in the Air: Just like George Clooney in this movie, I also keep a "small backpack." besides the fact that his job is to fire people, I could see that being my life.
Julie & Julia: They should just both be named Julia so the title could have just been Julias
Syriana: Hopefully we, as in the world, mastered electric cars or solar powered vehicles before this story becomes reality.
The Last King of Scotland: I have been told I need to see this movie.
I Am Legend: Is that even proper English?
The Prestige: This movie makes me want to be a magician. The Prestige is way better than The Illusionist!
Doubt: I heard this was first a play before a movie. Maybe this should have stayed just a play? Somethings are just better left alone.
Eagle Eye: Cool concept, bad movie.
Stranger than Fiction: Will Ferrel is way too funny. How can one man be that funny? With that being said, this movie wasn't as funny as I was expecting. It was......weird.
The Bourne Supremacy: In my opinion, you can't go wrong with The Bourne Series. Along with the Mission Impossibles and The Ocean series, this is one of my favorite series.
Million Dollar Baby: I want a million dollar baby.
Failure to Launch: This movie should definitely not be in the Top 100. Come on now Netflix, step your game up!
The Queen: Have no desire to watch this movie. Sorry??
Night at the Museum: Surprisingly a very entertaining movie. This is my kind of humor.
Taken: If I ever have a daughter who wants to travel to Europe before she is 18 I will say no, thanks to this movie.
The Aviator: Martin Scorsese and Leonordo DiCaprio
Knowing: Nicholas Cage, ughhhh
The Bourne Ultimatum: Another Bourne movie= another great movie.
Sherlock Holmes: I loved this movie and saw it a couple times in theaters. Robert Downey Jr. was the absolute perfect fit for this role.
Inglourious Basterds: Brad Pitt at his finest. Just bought this movie as well.
State of Play
Transformers: I thought Transformers 2 was better, but that may be because I saw the 2nd in 3D iMax and I saw the first at home on my tiny tv.
The Lake House: This movie was wayyyyyy too trippy for me to follow. Did not finish it.
Click: Little do you all know, but I am Mr. Click himself in true form. Guys, if you need help please do not hesitate to ask me.
The Guardian: Great movie. Weird seeing Ashton Kucher being somewhat serious. This movie made me want to join the Coast Guard.
27 Dresses: Chick flick, BORRRRRING.
National Treasure: Despite having Nicholas Cage in it, I enjoyed it and really want to go on a treasure hunt. Well, not really the whole treasure hunt part but more the aspect of finding priceless treasures.
I Love You, Man: Hopefully I never find myself in this same situation, but the story did make for a hilarious movie.
The Soloist: I have yet to see a bad Jamie Foxx movie, and then add Robert Downey Jr. and you have a fantastic movie.
Defiance: Another WWII movie that I was very intrigued by while watching. Daniel Craig is such a BA.
Fool's Gold: Come on now, who really falls in love over a connection with lost treasure.
Up: By far my favorite Pixar movie. I want that grandpa to be my grandpa.
The Good Shepherd: Not as good as a Robert De Niro, Matt Damon, and ANgelina Jolie movie should be.
Firewall: In my opinion, this movie was a waste of time.
Wanted: All this movie did was make guys want Angelina Jolie more.
Man on Fire: FINALLY!!! I am pretty sure this movie should be about 60 spots higher at least. Denzel Washington at his finest.
Fracture: Surprised by how well Ryan Gosling played the roll of a DA.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen: Reading this title makes me miss Meghan Fox. Was blown away by this movie when I saw it in 3D.
Law Abiding Citizen: Hopefully I never piss off a law abiding citizen!
Finding NeverlandJ.M. Barrie's Neverland: Very inspiring movie, although not very entertaining.
There Will Be Blood: I am not a very big fan of blood......
Wedding Crashers: Made me really want to crash a wedding, which I have yet to do.
The Constant Gardener: Who constantly gardens?
Live Free or Die Hard: Gives hope to all the nerds out there.
Mystic River: Clint Eastwood knows how to direct a movie, and Sean Penn knows how to act.
Atonement: The fact that many innocent people get accused of crimes they did not commit scares me, so in turn this movie scared me.
Memoirs of a Geisha: Memoirs of who?!
Rumor Has It: The only thing going for this movie is the fact that Jennifer Anniston is in it. Even with Miss Anniston, this movie should never be on this list.
The Wrestler: I have never heard of this movie.
Flags of Our Fathers: Like I said earlier, Clint Eastwood knows how to direct a movie. I feel like this movie should be in the top 75.
Good Night, and Good Luck: This movie shows how scary and influential the media can be and is.
Mr. Brooks: This movie messed with my head, big time.
Angels & Demons: Another movie I will probably never see.
Batman Begin: I can think of 100 other movies that belong on this list before Batman Begins. Such as the Ocean's movies, Shrek (who doesn't like Shrek?), Life is Beauitful, etc. I could seriously go on for days!
Overall feeling and conclusion: Pretty solid list but I was bummed to not see very many, if any, comedies on this Netflix Top 100 list. I know my Top 100 list would look much different, but then again my taste in movies is a lot different from my friends' and family members' preferences in movies.
